Students Activities

Student Congress

The FISITA Student Congress is integrated into the main congress and offers students from around the world the opportunity to participate in an international conference, presenting papers on the main congress topics.

As well as making contacts with other students, participants in the Student Congress will have full access to the main congress, and the chance to network with senior engineers and industry executives at all social events. Awards for the best student papers are presented at the official Closing Ceremony.

Abstracts for the Student Congress will be accepted from 1st February with a closing date of 16th May - click here for further details.

Travelling Fellowship Programme

The FISITA Travelling Fellowship Programme begins the week before the main FISITA Congress starts. The programme enables 20 outstanding young automotive engineers, under the age of 35, to take part in a special week long series of industry visits in Korea, before attending the World Automotive Congress.

This is a wonderful opportunity for young engineers to make connections with their peers from around the world.

Applications for the Travelling Fellowship will be accepted via your FISITA Member Society from 1st February with a closing date of 16th May - click here for further details.

Islands of Excellence

Universities and research institutions will be invited to submit details of their automotive research projects, for the chance to win FREE exhibition space at the congress.

These free exhibition spaces, called 'Islands of Excellence', enable academic institutions to display their research projects to the many engineers and industry executives who pass through the exhibition area.

Entries for each category will be judged on their individual merits, and only one university will be awarded the opportunity to display on each island. The research projects must be new, innovative and unique, and must be supported by relevant physical 'hardware'. It is also possible to display audio-visual material on the islands. Projects can be undertaken by individual universities, two or more institutions working together, or by a university in collaboration with a commercial company. Winning entries must be represented at the exhibition by an accomplished expert.
